The Charlotte home of the Carolina-born Sauna House franchise, a phone-free, coed bathhouse in a restored historic building in Wesley Heights with two traditional saunas, two stainless steel cold plunges, a silent salt room and heated lounge benches.

More about Sauna House Charlotte

A visit is a two-hour thermal cycle. After a soap shower in a private stall, you move at your own pace between the saunas, a cold shower and the plunges, then rest in the salt room or on the heated loungers. The house suggests up to 15 to 20 minutes of heat, three to five minutes in the cold and a long rest before repeating. Sit on your towel and ask before adding steam to the stones.

Swimsuits are required and everything is shared, with private changing rooms and gender-neutral restrooms. Phones stay in your wristband locker, and food and glass are not allowed inside. Guests must be 18, or 14 with a guardian. Tea, kombucha and electrolyte drinks are sold, and there is a free lot on site.
