What a resort spa day pass is

Many resort and hotel spas keep their saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and pools for hotel guests, but some sell a spa pass to anyone. The pass usually covers the locker rooms, the heat rooms, the pools and the relaxation lounges for the day, and a robe and towels. Some spas only let non-guests in with a booked treatment, and the listing says so when that is the case.

Where to find them

Las Vegas has the most, with 8. In Las Vegas the big casino resort spas on the Strip sell passes to non-guests, in Scottsdale the resort spas around Phoenix do the same, Orlando's resort spas near the theme parks are another cluster, and in Nashville the Westin downtown and Gaylord Opryland sell spa passes. In Utah, The Cliff Spa at Snowbird and Solitude Mountain Spa sell passes after a ski day.

How the prices work

Prices change by day of the week and season, and many spas sell their passes through ResortPass as well as at the front desk. We show the lowest regular price for one adult as published by the spa or the booking site it uses, and leave out packages with a treatment. A service charge is sometimes added at checkout.

Before you go

Book ahead, since passes are limited on busy days. Bring a swimsuit for any co-ed pool, and read how long to stay in a sauna and sauna etiquette if you are new to it. For bathhouses and Korean spas with a day pass, see sauna day passes.
