Floating saunaTraditional saunaOutdoor sauna

A double wood-fired cedar sauna floating in a houseboat community on Lake Union, with a rooftop deck facing the skyline and guided 90-minute social sessions for up to ten people.

More about Seattle Sauna

The sauna stays moored at the dock rather than cruising, and check-in runs through the Lake Union Hot Tub Boats office on Northlake Way. A trained guide leads each session, and aromatherapy, drinking water, towels, changing rooms and dry storage are included. For the cold side there are bucket showers and an outdoor shower, and the rooftop deck is the spot to cool down between rounds.

Bring a swimsuit and flip-flops, and skip suits with metal parts, which get hot. Arrive about 15 minutes early, since late arrivals still end on schedule. Sessions run rain or shine, and other bookings can share your session unless you rent the whole sauna.
