Knot Springs

Non-members book a two-hour Springs visit and follow the house ritual: a still tepidarium kept just below body temperature, a jetted caldarium at 104°F, the 47°F cold plunge, the dry sauna, then the eucalyptus-scented steam room, followed by a rest before going around again. The rooms sit high up with floor-to-ceiling windows toward the river and the bridges.

Swimsuits are required in the Springs and guests must be 18 or older. Towels, herbal tea and water are provided. Groups of up to four can book online; weekends fill up, so booking ahead is the safer bet, though walk-ins are taken when there is space.
