Ebb & Ember Floating Saunas
Portland
Portland's first floating sauna, a propane-heated sauna on a float at Elevated Tides Marina on the Columbia River, with big windows on the water and a rooftop platform for jumping into the river.
More about Ebb & Ember Floating Saunas
Social sessions hold up to eight people. The sauna can run dry or with steam and cycles between about 170 and 190°F, and an hourglass keeps rounds to roughly 15 minutes. Between rounds you climb down the ladder into the Columbia, which ranges from about 40°F in midwinter to about 70°F in August, or use the bucket shower and cold shower on deck.
There is no lifeguard, and the river has currents and boat traffic, so swim with care. Bring a swimsuit and two towels; towels and robes are not provided. Social sessions are 18 and over, and a door code arrives by email before your booking.
