ROK SPAS
Denver
A Nordic-style bathhouse two blocks from Union Station, built around a 40-person cedar sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, warm thermal soaking tubs and five cold plunges set at different temperatures.
More about ROK SPAS
A visit is a self-paced circuit: heat in the big cedar sauna, where the top bench runs hottest and each row below is cooler, then a cold plunge, then a rest or a warm soak before the next round. The five plunges range from very cold to mild, so beginners can start with the warmest tub, and staff are on hand to explain the routine.
All shared areas are mixed, and swimwear is required; clothing is not optional here. Towels, robes and slides are provided, and there are private changing rooms and showers. Guests must be 18 or older. Walk-ins are accepted, but booking ahead online or through Mindbody is the safer bet on busy evenings and weekends.
